"Soon after bringing our newborn twins home, we found ourselves exhausted and desperate for sleep. We are so thankful to have found Lori and her night nanny services! From the first time we met Lori, we felt extremely comfortable and trusted her to care for our girls. Not only is Lori very knowledgeable and passionate about babies, she has a calm demeanor that soothes tired and worried parent's minds. We are forever grateful for Lori!"

"As first-time parents to a beautiful baby girl, we were not prepared for the challenges of taking care of a newborn, especially during a pandemic. We found Lori through word of mouth and immediately trusted her in taking care of our then 2-week-old daughter. Her qualifications gave us complete trust in watching our baby girl at night, which allowed us to get some much-needed sleep during the first few months of her life. Her nurturing demeanor shined when she rocked and soothed our baby girl to sleep. We had difficulties early on with feeding, and Lori was always supportive and never judgmental with decisions we made with supplementing food.
Lori became part of our tribe as it truly “takes a village” and without her help, I’m not sure how things would have turned out. I’m thankful for the peace of mind she offered us… and the uninterrupted hours of sleep!"

"Lori was amazing helping us navigate our first 6 months with our son, Ben. She helped us tremendously by taking care of him and me (mom) during a time when Ben and I were figuring each other out. She assisted with laundry, dishes, and snacks, as well as anything else Ben and I needed. She listened to my concerns and was a great resource for both childcare and postpartum issues that arose during that time. Lori helped us understand that our health is just as important as baby’s. She aided us in getting Ben into a routine/schedule that worked for all of us. She spent time playing with Ben and helped us determine various toys and activities that would support his development and growth. Though she is working with other families now, she makes time to visit with me and Ben. It is a blessing to know Lori and we will always be thankful to her for her wonderful advice and support during Ben’s first months."

"Lori was a night nanny for our twin girls for the first two and a half months. From the first night she came, I felt completely at ease when she was taking care of the girls and I was able to get the sleep I desperately needed. Having Lori three times a week was a true blessing for our family. We were able to be better parents to our two older children and my husband was able to be more successful at work because we weren’t as sleep deprived. Lori also gave us great advice related to sleep, feeding, and other newborn care for twins.
I would recommend her to anyone, but especially to parents of multiples. Hiring her was definitely the best choice for our family."

"When we found out we were having twins along with already having 3 small children I knew that I would need help in the first few weeks. When we first met Lori she carried such a peaceful and comforting spirit with her that I knew she was the one we needed to hire. It was such a blessing to have her come to our home and take care of the babies so I could get sleep. She did such a wonderful job with the twins that I didn’t hear them at all when she was here. I would highly recommend Lori for any night nanny needs especially if you have multiples."

"Lori came into my family's life during one of the happiest and scariest times. As a new parent of twins, I was overjoyed with being a mom but absolutely terrified because I did not have a clue what to do. My husband and I actually found out about Lori and her services during our hospital stay. We soon realized we were in over our heads and started asking around if anyone knew of someone who provided night nurse service. Here entered Lori. She was such a blessing to us.
Bringing the girls home was a bit daunting, especially because neither girl was latching and one wasn't eating well at all. Lori is the one who recommended that we get the girls checked out to see if they were tongue tied, which both were. Lori brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience that neither myself or husband had with newborn twins.
On a more personal note, Lori is the one that realized I was dealing with some postpartum depression. She is the one that encouraged me to seek advice from my doctor and help from my family. When Lori arrived every night, I knew my girls were in great hands. I could go to bed with ease knowing she would be tending and watching over them. This allowed me to get the rest I needed in order to help overcome my postpartum and be capable of taking on the day with newborn twins.
Having Lori in our lives was an answered prayer."

"Although I am a medical professional, when it came to my first pregnancy, I felt unprepared and intimidated by the process of birth and postnatal care. I had gone through many years of medical training yet somehow never swaddled an infant. Further, I was afraid to ask questions and make my wishes known toother healthcare providers; I was fearful that there might be some stigma attached secondary to my occupation. Lori, my doula, served as my advocate during my pregnancy and delivery. I appreciated her kind, non-judgmental demeanor and methodical, logical instruction. Prior to my delivery, she held newborn classes at my residence for my husband and I so that we could gain confidence in newborn care. She endlessly reviewed lists of baby-item purchases so that we felt prepared when our little-one arrived. During the actual birth, she would gently but firmly direct the medical staff toward my desired requests.
Afterwards, Lori continued to check in with my husband and was available to answer any questions regarding the care of the baby. It was such a relief to have Lori serve as a night-nurse during the first week so that my husband and I could get some much-needed rest. Our baby was more than happy to be in her care.
Being pregnant and giving birth is difficult enough but doing so in a pandemic when family is unavailable is distressing. Lori easily stepped into the role as a surrogate caregiver, mentor and friend. I am beyond grateful that we hired her and she has my highest recommendation."

"Lori Wade spent about 8 weeks with us, usually three times per week for about 4 hours each visit. Her main responsibilities were caring for our newborn daughter. However, she also spent a lot of time with our 7 year old daughter.
Lori prepared bottles and fed the baby, soothed her and put her down for naps as needed, and interacted with her when she was awake. She also did the baby’s laundry and washed and sterilized her bottles. She helped organize the nursery, switching out clothing sizes as needed.
She counseled me on topics relating to newborn care, including nursing, pumping, bottle feeding, sleep schedules, and newborn and infant development.
She was loving and kind, but firm when necessary with my strong-willed 7 year old. She often got my older daughter involved in baby-related activities, like putting the baby’s laundry away, helping her develop a deeper connection with her sister. She also spent some 1-on-1 time doing crafts with my older daughter when the baby was asleep.
Lori is a wonderful communicator and very trustworthy. I did not hesitate to entrust my children to her loving care. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking newborn or infant care."

"I am writing on behalf of Lori Wade, who recently worked in my household to provide overnight care for my newborn. Lori provided invaluable service to my family during a time of stress with a new baby. I had peace of mind that my newborn was in good hands with Lori for long, overnight stretches. She is responsible, well-organized, and trustworthy. It is very obvious that Lori has a passion for working with newborns and supporting growing families.
Additionally, Lori is an excellent communicator. She left thorough written communication to update me on my newborn’s progress as well as suggestions for a sleep schedule as he got older. We frequently discussed options for helping my son transition to longer periods of sleep in his crib and stretching out his overnight feedings. Any time we had a setback in my son’s sleep progress, Lori adapted to provide a new plan to help us along.
Lori is truly a blessing, and I would recommend her to any family looking for assistance and guidance with a new baby."

"We are thrilled, honored and humbled to have worked with The Knoxville Baby Lady - Lori Wade. As a British same sex couple who had twins through surrogacy in the US it was critical for us to find someone special to assist us in the early days of our journey as parents. We spoke to a number of people but upon meeting Lori it was apparent immediately that she was the best person we could have ever hoped for! Indeed, that proved to be the case.
Even before we arrived in the US Lori had pulled together a thorough shopping list for us. It included everything we could have ever needed as well a number of gems which did and continue to make our lives as new parents much much easier.
Not only was Lori amazing at getting us into a routine immediately, she was so kind, calm, patient and supportive while always respecting our space as new parents. Our journey involved such a heavy legal process that was very stressful and Lori was always there with a smile, with open arms, support and encouragement. We always felt so comfortable with her and we consider her family now.
We have no hesitation to recommend her and her services."

"My family met Lori during the final months of my twin pregnancy. After our initial meeting with Lori, we knew that she was the most qualified person in Knoxville to provide newborn care to our twin girls. Lori's education and certifications speak for themselves. She is responsible, reliable, and extremely attentive. Lori took exceptional care of our twins from the first night that they came home from the hospital until they began to sleep through the night, at 5 months old. She not only nurtured them, but she assisted in their learning to become terrific sleepers. Lori allowed my husband and me to have uninterrupted sleep during the night so that we could take care of our girls during the day without being exhausted. Lori is skilled in her field, trustworthy and immensely loving. She became part of our family when our girls were born, and we are privileged to have her continue to care for our three children to this day."
